Iceland's Ring Road, Route 1, runs all the way around the island in about 1,300 km. In ten days, it takes you past waterfalls, black sand beaches, glaciers, lava fields, steaming valleys and fjords, with small towns and sheep for company. I drove it in early summer, with daylight that never really ended.
